Residual current circuit breaker

Abstract

A residual current device (RCD), or residual-current circuit breaker (RCCB), also known as an RCCB or RCD, is an electrical wiring device that to interrupting the circuit by comparing the return and return current of the circuit, and in the event of a difference between the current and the return current. In normal electrical circuits, the current flow is equal to the return current, but if for any reason the current between the phase wire and the null (in single-phase circuits) is different, this key will act as a protector.

The existence of this difference may be due to the connection of the body of one of the electrical devices in which the electric current returns to the source instead of returning from the ground wire, which means that the leakage current has been found. It detects small leakage currents that are not detected by Fuse Miniature but can cause fire or electric shock and cut off the circuit in less than a tenth of a second.

The leakage current may also be caused by the person who touches the ground and accidentally touches the electrically operated circuit, which is designed to (if the manufacturer adjusts the sensitivity to the leakage current by 30 mA) before interrupting a person, they interrupt the circuit

Electro Kaveh RCCB or RCD are electromagnetic type with sensitivity of 30, 100 and 300 mA with nominal currents of 25 to 63 amps, and two poles and four poles manufactured and supplied

They are not intended to provide protection against overcurrent (overload) or short-circuit conditions.

Residual current circuit breaker with overload protection

A residual-current circuit breaker with overload protection (RCBO) is Another type of these keys, in addition to leakage current, over-protection and short-circuit to be protect  that combines the functions of overcurrent protection and leakage detection.

Another type of these keys, in addition to leakage current, over-protection and short-circuit to be protect.

Electro Kaveh RCBO are electromagnetic type and electronic type with sensitivity of 30 mA and with a current of 25 and 32 amps, and two poles and four poles with a short circuit of 6 and 10 kA can be supplied.

These switch make better use of earth connection
