Contactor is a controllable switch electrically actuated (electromagnetically controlled) intended for switching a power or control circuit and constitute most important item in electric control circuits.it resembles mostly o electrical relays but it is used in high current rating application. A contactor is controlled via a ci‌r‌cu‌it which require a very lower energy requirement level ranges than the switched circuit Contactor are made in different types and ratings , from the contactors operating with 24v DC which could be contained in one hand and con switch 6 amp rating circuits , up to contactor with rated voltage of multi kilo volts and currents of multi kilo amperes with widths more than one meter.
